You’re not alone

You’re not alone

One in four people will experience a mental health problem of some kind each year in England. If you’re one of them and you live in Staffordshire, Walk Talk Action can help. We encourage you to explore who you are, discover your strengths and achieve a better state of mind.

We’re here when you need us. Let’s walk, talk and take action.

What we can help with

How we can help

How we can help

If you’re suffering with mental health problems, Walk Talk Action is here to support you on the road back to a better frame of mind. Here’s how we help…

Walk & Talk

Walking is hugely underrated in its ability to improve mental and physical wellbeing. Not only does it improve fitness, posture and circulation, it’s also proven to alleviate fatigue and depression. Come and discover the benefits for yourself.

Tea & Toast

Tea & Toast is a drop-in session where you can meet new people in a safe, friendly, non judgemental space. Pop in on Wednesdays 10:00am – 12:00pm at St. Francis Church, Sandon Road, Stoke-on-Trent ST3 7LH (term time only).

10-Step Programme

Our unique 10-step programme is tailored to suit each person’s individual needs. You’ll discover how you can help yourself using different coping techniques and methods of working through your problems, one step at a time.

How we helped people in 2023

Take a look at our short video, which gives a brief insight into what happened at Walk Talk Action in 2023…

What a difference a year makes

As the saying goes, a lot can happen in a year. And 2023 at Walk Talk Action was no exception.

Our 10-Step Programme, walks, talks, drop-ins and journal therapy helped people get their mental health back on track.

We would like to thank all the people who came to us for support and all the people and organisations who helped us help them.

Some kind words

Here are just a few of the people who’ve been kind enough to let us know their thoughts about the services we provide…

walk talk action review

Walk talk action has helped me get out of the house, given me some independence away from all the roles in my life and given me a place to truly be me. Thank you, Teri, I will be forever grateful. You’ve helped me find parts of myself that I thought I’d lost.

CLAIRE
walk talk action review

Walk Talk Action has helped me more than anybody could ever imagine. I only have one sentence to put it into words: I can honestly say that I don’t know if I would be here right now, if it wasn’t for their help and support.

Soldering On has been turned into a brand now and we have a clothing line coming up. We’ll be doing talks and corporate events etc. So yeah. It’s going great. To be fair, it’s all thanks to Walk Talk Action. They put me in touch with the right people.

NATHAN

Walk Talk Action has proven to me that being engaged in our community and supporting each other has a huge impact on people’s lives, attitude and outlook. On a personal note it’s helped me recognise my own aspirations and plans for the future. Thank you.
