alton adventure

Dimmingsdale Car Park where our Alton adventure will begin

Get ready for a crisp November stroll with Lee as your guide through the tranquil Dimmingsdale woods…

This circular forest walk is all about enjoying nature’s slower pace, spotting Winter wildlife, and stretching your legs in the crisp November air.

Expect gentle hills, frosty paths, and plenty of opportunities to take in the seasonal scenery.

The plan

We’ll start promptly at 9:30am from Dimmingsdale Car Park and follow a circular route through the forest. The path may be slippery underfoot, with exposed tree roots and potential frost, so please take care. Hiking poles are encouraged to keep you steady.

We’ll walk at a comfortable pace, giving time to appreciate the plants and wildlife around us. The walk will finish with a well-earned pot of tea at the Ramblers Retreat Café. It’ll be the perfect end to a crisp Autumn morning.
