At Walk Talk Action, volunteers are the lifeblood of everything we do. Their dedication, compassion, and selflessness are the very foundation of our mission—to support those struggling with mental health. Every hour they give, every conversation they have, and every act of kindness they offer changes lives. We want to take a moment to celebrate the individuals who make WTA what it is today…

Transforming lives, one Step at a time
Volunteering at Walk Talk Action is more than just giving time. It’s about transforming lives, including their own.
One inspiring example is Claire (pictured left in the photo). She faced significant personal struggles herself, but found strength through our walks, coffee mornings, and the 10-Step Programme.
Her confidence grew to the point where she has now taken on the responsibility of running our Wellbeing Support Group.
Claire’s journey with us has led her to secure her dream job working in the NHS. Thus proving that the support provided at WTA doesn’t just help in the moment—it creates lasting change and new beginnings.
Giving back through topical talks
Another of our volunteers, Tony, discovered his passion for public speaking at our Tea & Toast sessions.
Tony delivered talks on Seas & Oceans, Paranormal Stories, and The Solar System, and not only educated and entertained but also built his confidence and found a sense of purpose.
Tony is the perfect example of how WTA fosters personal growth while encouraging volunteers to share their talents with the community.

Young volunteers making a difference
Our collaboration with Regent College has brought a new wave of passionate young volunteers who are making an incredible impact.
From clearing invasive plants and creating natural fencing to auditing safety supplies and planning educational workshops, these students are learning invaluable life skills while giving back to their community.
Their work not only enhances our green spaces but also gives a sense of responsibility, teamwork, and wellbeing.
A massive thank you from all at WTA
Time is a currency that is priceless, and each one of our volunteers has willingly given us their time to help. Whether it’s at the Retreat, making a cuppa at Tea & Toast, or simply listening, every act of kindness matters.
The work of our volunteers changes lives in ways that cannot be measured.
If you’ve ever thought about giving back, even just a few hours a week, know that your time could be the reason someone finds hope again.
Walk Talk Action is not just an organisation. It’s a community. A support system. A family.
We invite you to be a part of something truly life-changing.
To our volunteers: Thank you. Your kindness, commitment, and generosity make the world a better place.
