Mental Health Problems

Support that stems from experience
Support that stems from experience
Our Founder, Teri Elder, has real life experience of all the areas that Walk Talk Action supports. She has battled mental health difficulties including PTSD, postnatal depression, psychosis, and anxiety.
But her life is now completely different. She has overcome those life traumas and turned them into life lessons.
Now Teri wants to help others do what she did.
Here’s what we can help with…
People we’ve helped

These are just some of the people who Walk Talk Action has helped through our 10-Step Programme…
I recently finished my to week programme with Walk Talk Action. At the start I was a little apprehensive about what I could achieve. But a couple of weeks into the programme, I could see that this was helping me, and allowing me to think outside the box.
I realised I was unhappy in my present voluntary role but there were an abundance of opportunities out there to make a difference.
Hi Teri. Some really good encouraging news to tell you. My partner has been out with the dog on his own for the first time this year, apparently the dog was really good too and I didn’t panic as much either.
Thank you so much for helping us to get out and step out of our comfort zone.
Hi Teri. Just want to say what a star you are. I’m now going to be working with Monica on the community garden in Knutton on Sundays and I’m still going to Silverdale too. Social life is good with my new friends in Bradwell.
We go out to different events – meals, shows etc. Going to do some walks with them too through a lady I met there. Life is good.
Walk Talk Action has helped us by befriending and accepting us for who we are. We have made new friends. WTA has encouraged us to get outside more. Most of all, giving us activities and goals that take us WAY out of our comfort zone.
Thank you for all your help and time WTA, we really do appreciate it.
